Katrina Cuenca is a self-taught Filipina artist whose practice spans painting, sculpture, and furniture design. Her petal-like abstractions explore texture, materiality, and movement, often accentuated by her distinctive gold leaf application. Building depth and luminosity, her dynamic surfaces shift with the light. Cuenca has exhibited extensively in Manila and has participated in major fairs, including ManilART, MoCAF, and Art Busan 2024.

For Gilded Visions, her first solo exhibition in Spain, Cuenca presents a refined selection of works that mark key moments in her evolving practice. Layering muted tones and romantic pastels with intricate textures and metallic backdrops, she creates subtle plays of light and shadow—petals seemingly unfurling underwater. Drawing on both personal and universal themes, her works offer a quiet space for reflection amid the noise of daily life.
