Kate Contemporary presents Summer Interlude, a collection of works by Laura Hernández Pérez, Chino Yulo, Katrina Cuenca, Aileen Lanuza, Teetuch Hongkhongkha, Quiban, Gabby Prado, Imam Santoso and Areeya Pornsiriviwat. On view from August 2025, this limited exhibit is a visual invitation for viewers to appreciate the vitality of the summer season.
The selected pieces from the international artists show varying creative narratives but share common aesthetic aspects that are associated with summer. From the bold application of colors to the dynamism of movement, the collection highlights the collective imagery linked to the season.
Bringing viewers to reminisce in the colors, emotions and memories of summers, the gallery chose a collection of paintings and sculptures from artists of different cultural backgrounds that reflect a diverse but at the same time, common vision of the annual interlude: summer.
